VÉRONIQUE VIAL - BEFORE 10AM

Véronique Vial is a French-born photographer who relocated to Los Angeles in 1989, where she quickly established herself within the world of celebrity portraiture. Her early work featured in 'A Day in the Life of Hollywood', marking the beginning of a distinctive career capturing some of the most iconic figures of our time.

As the original and exclusive photographer for Cirque du Soleil, Vial produced a remarkable body of work that led to her first monograph, Cirque du Soleil, followed by a second acclaimed publication in 1999.

She went on to achieve international recognition with her celebrated series Women Before 10am and Men Before 10am ~  intimate, unguarded portraits of leading cultural figures captured in the quiet, private moments of early morning. Stripped of artifice, her subjects are seen waking, resting, dressing and simply being ~  revealing a rare, human side to public personas.

Those photographed include Angelina Jolie, Emma Thompson, Julianne Moore, Salma Hayek, Helena Christensen, Arthur Miller, Jean Remo, Gary Oldman, Jeff Goldblum and Karl Lagerfield, among many others.

Vial’s work sits at the intersection of intimacy and iconography ~ timeless, voyeuristic and deeply human. The Before 10am series continues to be exhibited internationally and is available as a curated touring exhibition and fine art print collection.

Representation, exhibition and image usage enquiries are managed by Melissa.
